An Interview with MUUD’s Wellness Experts: Ceceley Clifton
“Mental wellness means being in a state of mind where you can be the best version of yourself.”
How has your background and experience led you to MUUD?
I have always had a passion for personal wellness (physical and mental) and try to incorporate this into my daily routine as well as my interactions with others. I would say that working as a leader in the past for a local organization that helps children find a safe place to call home helped me to understand that mental health is so incredibly important to people of all ages. I also worked as an administrator for a laboratory where I managed a team and found that the organization, structure, and relationship I could create with my team was something I could see myself doing for my future career.
What does mental wellness mean to you?
Mental wellness means being in a state of mind where you can be the best version of yourself. Many things can affect and contribute to mental wellness so it is important to devote time to factors that may improve your overall health.
What do you do as part of your wellness routine?
I exercise 3-5 times a week using weight training paired with cardio for my physical health. I try to sleep the full amount that my body requires each night. I devote extra time to my spiritual journey and wellbeing and I try to do more things in a week that I love rather than things I don't really care to do.
What makes you excited to be a part of MUUD?
I am excited to be working on a team with such talented individuals that share similar values and passion for helping and impacting their community.
